Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lake Placid Rainforest Retreat – Cairns What an absolute gem! 🌴🌿 From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with the immaculately clean facilities and beautifully maintained, grassy sites. The bathrooms were spotless, and the pool and BBQ area were clean, tidy and fully functional. The Bush Turkey Cafe is a massive bonus too — serving some of the best coffee and hot food, plus there’s a bar and happy hour… what more could you ask for! ☕️🍻 For those travelling with dogs, this place is a winner! 🐾 Just a 10-minute walk away is an amazing dog park with both leash and off-leash areas, lush green grass, shady trees and even a swimming hole. Without a doubt, the best dog park Koda has ever been to! 🐶💦 Right next door, the public terraced gardens and deck overlooking Lake Placid are the perfect spot to sit back and watch the rafters come in after a day on the water. 🌊🍻 We absolutely loved our stay and would 10/10 recommend Lake Placid Rainforest Retreat to anyone travelling through Cairns — especially fellow caravanners and dog lovers! 🚐🐾🌴

Fabulous views of the rainforest hills to wake up to, friendly guests, clean campsite & amenities, lovely pool. Unusual bird visitors and bats overhead at dusk. The campsite is quiet. Lots to see in the local area: rainforest Skyrail with breathtaking views of the rainforest canopies; the famous train up to the skyrail with equally breathtaking wide landscape views. Esplanade is good for a waterside beer & walk. Ice cream too! Was sad to leave. Would stay again.
